About Us

One super geek and one wannabe geek meet as medical students at Cambridge University in 1998.

Having worked at the interface of technology and humans for some time we decided to launch ThalamAI in 2024, here in the beautiful North. We believe passionately in the use of AI to augment human capabilities through tailored, private systems designed in co-operation with the brilliant humans that will use them. In doing so we create AI solutions that work in partnership with people, giving them both control and data sovereignty without costing the earth; and most importantly freeing up their time to do the things they are good at.

Our expertise have been used to facilitate both advertising and theatre production companies allowing systematic data analysis without compromising on client confidentiality.  We recognise too the privacy levels offered by our AI systems could support the work of any organisation that needs to handle large amounts of confidential data more efficiently extending to healthcare, education and legal work.
